Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage is run by Daphne Sheldrick, the wife of the late famous Naturalist, David William Sheldrick who was the founder Warden of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. The visit takes place between 1100 Hours and 1200 Hours every day, however, you will get the chance to see the elephants being fed and playing in the mud bath. You may not feed the animals but will get a chance to view the handlers feeding them. There is usually a Private Session strictly between 1500 Hours to 1600 Hours each day that allows you to see the animals in private as well as be able to interact with them. This requires advance booking. For normal viewing time the entrance fees is usually 10$ per person.
